Sherman Barnett came to El Paso in 1961 as part of a management team specializing in re-structuring failing car lots. He worked at dealerships in St. Louis, Denver, and several other cities before being sent to El Paso to fix a dealership here. About a month after arriving, he decided to make El Paso his home. He’s now been in the car business in El Paso for 47 years.
